Could this be an "Orlit Post" ? Looks like the building was here before the underground bunker! Apart from a concrete slab missing at the top of the steps, it's in quite good condition. Note the GZI mount. Mind your head on the way in! |

View looking back towards a small covered area - which is located just at the top of the steps. A close-up view of the GZI Mount, set at just about head-height. The structure of this building suggests that there was no roof, or that there was some kind of removable one. |

Another view, this time from the back - facing the road entrance. |

View looking down from the Orlit Post of the compound & entrance hatch for the underground bunker. The compound is very overgrown and has been used for a bit of fly tipping! |

The hatch has been vandalized and is no longer secure. Both locks are intact but both clasps have been smashed or chiseled off. No GZI Mount. |

The bunker appears to be dry. However, looking down the entrance shaft there are signs that a fire has at some time been lit. All the walls are very black with soot. There are also signs that the bunker has been used for "other" activities - one of them being the firing of air guns! |
