Marshfield ROC Post

MARSHFIELD - ST:77260 72939 Site Visited: January 25, 2000.

Marshfield as viewed from the narrow Road/Track running down the side of the site.

The Gate, complete with Lock, is well rusted but the Blue paint is still prominent.

Inside the compound.

Very overgrown with the perimeter fence in a bad state of repair.

The compound would probably have room for two cars if kept clear. Off road parking - what luxury!

View looking back along Road/Track towards Marshfield.

Entrance to the bunker is in good condition. Hatch is secured with what looks like the original heavy duty padlocks - no signs of vandalism.

Looking back towards the Road Gate.

The Hatch Cover itself looks like it just lifts off rather than being fitted with hinges and the usual counterweight system.

To the left of the Gate, in the corner of the compound, was what looks like the remains of a Shed which has long since rotted away and been taken over by a small tree.
